Our Mission

Mission:

Kalahari Press is a non-profit multimedia educational publisher. We are committed to the discovery and publication of twenty-first century international literature and media that is focused on Africa, the Caribbean, South America, Asia and the South Pacific. We champion new, emerging, and outstanding writers and media producers to ensure that readers and viewers can find a diversity of underrepresented voices in a crowded marketplace.

We equally aim to give high exposure to literature and media that is directed to children in/from minority backgrounds with the hope that we will inspire many to effectively read, write, and engage multimedia and scientific projects.

We believe that powerful works of art, literature or science should nourish and nurture the reader’s spirit and imagination, enhance readers’ lives and enrich global humanity.

We also believe that such works must be supported by attentive editing, compelling design, and creative promotion.

We seek to bypass traditional publishing through establishing close and collaborative relationships with our writers and readers, and by using the proceeds from publishing to support our authors and place their works and others in the hands of desiring readers.

Let’s build something together.
